I want to thank all of the wonderful people who came to see my show tonight at Positive Directions. I really appreciate your support and I was very happy to see all of you. I also want to thank the amazing staff at Positive Directions (Brenda and Elizabeth) for all of the work they did to help me keep this ship afloat. Elizabeth was in charge of the credit card machine and every single time she stepped outside to smoke a cigarette I would sell a painting. So I was encouraging her to smoke more cigarettes. I ended up selling 14 paintings tonight. If you missed the show tonight you can stop by Positive Directions Monday thru Friday between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. There are still plenty of paintings available for purchase. I will post the entire show online in the very near future. Now the painting machine must go into sleep mode. Goodnight!
I want to thank Charles Baughman for helping me hang the show this week. This show would not be possible without him. He built all of my cradle boxes, hung 80% of the paintings and spent the afternoon on a ladder adjusting the lights and changing light bulbs. I do not belong on a ladder. Charles has been a great friend and a lifesaver. Now I just need to fix those two title cards and the show is ready to go. I am excited to see all of you on Friday.
After 6 weeks of painting in preparation for my show at Positive Directions I feel a little lost now that I have nothing to do. Charles Baughman dropped off a couple of cradle boxes yesterday and I feel the urge to keep painting. But this painting machine has earned a quiet night to recharge his batteries. Tomorrow I will put the finishing touches on the show (lights and title cards). I hope to see all of you on Friday.
All of the paintings for the “Eyes To Feed” exhibition at Positive Directions are FINALLY finished! I ended up with 35 new paintings. Here is a little preview of the show.

Tonight I’m working on the BIG paintings and I’m channeling the spirits of Robert Rauschenberg, Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning and Cy Twombly. Tonight is about big paint brushes, big drips, big splatters and big cups of black coffee. Below are a couple snapshots from the studio.
I have 25 paintings “finished.” I just need to photograph them and give them a couple healthy coats of varnish to make it official. I have 10 more paintings in the works and I hope to have all of them finished by Saturday morning.
