I finished my new portrait of Louis C.K. “Finished” is just a simplified way of saying “I’m sick of working on this fucking portrait.” Leonardo da Vinci is credited as saying “Art is never finished, only abandoned.” This portrait is “good enough.” I can eat pizza now.
I am featured on the super awesome Fourteen-Forty blog. The Fourteen-Forty blog features a collection of thought provoking interviews with amazing artists like Mark Powell, J.A.W. Cooper, Adam DeVarney, Gregory Euclide, Yurex Omazkin, Judith Braun, Cinzah Seekayem and many others. I am honored to be among such a talented selection of artists.

In the middle of battling a monster workload I found myself overwhelmed, exhausted, frustrated and burnt out. I decided the best strategy was to escape and regroup. I needed to spend some quality time in my happy place. I decided it would be fun to draw a portrait of my favorite stand-up comedian Louis C.K. Below is a detail view of the WORK IN PROGRESS. I hope to finish the portrait over the weekend. I also hope to watch IRON MAN 3, read a few more chapters of DAMNED by Chuck Palahniuk, watch TOP OF THE LAKE Season 1 on Netflix and kill the monster workload that is trying to eat my soul.
